Please Note: MUNCHRUNNERS is not operated by a large company or a huge team of tech start-up staff. It's one guy, in his garage (literally!) with a little help from his daughter and a few friends. Please bear this in mind when making contact or requesting assets or copy. Thank you.

MUNCHRUNNERS was originally conceived in October 2019 as an idea for a group food ordering website that helped office workers organise their sandwich runs.
A prototype platform was developed and trials were run in Chesterfield (UK) throughout late December and January 2020.
The trials showed that the concept of group food ordering was much larger than originally visualised, so a development plan was created with an expected launch date of the middle of 2020. MUNCHRUNNERS would be a new concept in food delivery.
Pre-planned delivery runs where couriers pickup and deliver from multiple vendors and drop at multiple customers. In some ways... the holy grail of food deliveries. Pizza & Chinese on the same food order, at the same time for one delivery price.
However, just as the development plan was being completed and new trials were being scheduled, along comes the COVID-19 virus and the country goes into lock down.
We realised very quickly that online ordering and getting food delivered to your home was not just essential but a facility that most independent food retailers did not have. Added to that, the big boys were the only ones who had the technology and infrastructure to cope and they were getting so busy that delivery slots were only available weeks in advance.
So we decided that with a little work, our platform could be used by any business to accept online food orders and schedule deliveries in a way that works for them. E.g. Not a single drop service but pre-planned delivery runs to local areas.
So after a little soul searching, and asking ourselves the obvious question (would we be profiteering?), we decided that the need was too big and we should go ahead. We'd keep the costs as low as we could and see how things go. It was something we knew did not exist anywhere else and everyone both retailer and customer needed it as soon as possible.
So, step forward to the 23rd March 2020 and a new platform was released to all food retailers. From this point on... any takeaway, butcher, fishmonger, vegetable shop, market trader, café, sandwich shop, deli, coffee house or any other food vendor could offer their customers online ordering on pre-planned delivery runs. They could be up and running in minutes and ready to start with no costs.
It's been 102 days since then, so our background story is still being written.
